Training

A well trained horse develops more than partnership with its rider - it develops responsibility for balance, rhythm, and the movement being asked. Horses that are over - or under - ridden often respond by bracing, blocking the rider or anticipating with anxiety.

Thoughtful, consistent training helps prevent these patterns. While your horse is in training, my focus is on building understanding and accountability so both horse and rider can work with clarity and confidence. I aim to teach not only what we can doing, but how and why, so when you take the reins, you have a deeper understanding of your partner.

Progress is built through repetition, consistency, and patience. Monthly training allows horse and rider to develop steady habits that support long-term goals.

Consistent work (4-6 days per week) includes:

  • Building trust and confidence in the horse

  • Developing a rhythmic, relaxed, and supple foundation

  • Establishing correct fundamentals while progressing toward balance and collection

  • Developing jumping fundamentals with an emphasis on technique and understanding

  • Recieving focused individualized instruction throughout the month

If you have compassion for your equine partner and take the time to understand them, you can accomplish what ever you put the time into.
